The “Biggest” Rugby Tournament on the West Coast!  August 27th, at Treasure Island, SF.

The 5th installment of the best social rugby tournament going in these United States is all set for August 27th, 2016. Our unique tournament rules apply and Men’s & Women’s teams are welcome each and every year. FAQs

Are there special requirements of Age and Bodyweight to enter the event?
Actually no, everyone is welcome to play at the Tight 5 Sevens. However, unless both teams decide to waive their Handicapped Score (see rules section), then your matches are ultimately pre determined by your aforementioned handicap score per the Tight 5 Sevens’s scoring system, read the rules… We will take you on your word for the age but all weights are verified pre-tournament for your Starting VII BUT if your prepared to lie about your age be prepared to be challenged.

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?

Parking is abundant and FREE however, San Francisco is now the smash & grab capital of California so DO NOT LEAVE VALUABLES IN YOUR CAR. We will have folks walking the parking lot to deter any would be thieves but SFGG and the Tight 5 Sevens are NOT responsible for lost or stolen items. Bring your stuff in the gates with you and stay a while.

Flying In?
SFO and Oakland airports are both great options, if you fly into Oakland you will need TOLL MONEY 880 NORTH TO 80 WEST TO SAN FRAN, SFO route is clear via 101 North to 80 East to Treasure Island exit (LEFT HAND SIDE OF BAY BRIDGE).

What can/can’t I bring to the event?

We will have Food (regular, vegetarian and vegan), Snacks (kids stuff), Water, Alcohol, & Merchandise for sale but if you need something else your welcome to bring it. The facility has a shower if you require one post match/pre car ride home so bring a towel and bathing supplies if you’d like.

Is my registration/ticket transferrable?

You can buy purchase tickets for others, team registration for others but please make a note on your confirmation that you don’t intend on showing up and give us the name of whomever does intend to show up.
